Fragrance Guide
The four words you meet on every bottle describe one thing: how much perfume oil is in the alcohol. That sets how long it stays on the skin, and most of the price.
Extrait de Parfum
20–30% fragrance oil · six to eight hours. The most concentrated form. A little goes a long way, and the price per bottle reflects it.
Eau de Parfum
15–20% · four to six hours. The most common strength, and the one most houses build their signature around.
Eau de Toilette
5–15% · two to four hours. Lighter and brighter. Easier to wear during the day or in warm weather.
Cologne
2–5% · up to two hours. The lightest of the four. Made to be reapplied without becoming heavy.
Ranges are the usual industry ones. We resell the houses’ own bottles, so the exact strength is whatever the maker put in — each listing states the form it ships in.
