Jean Patou created 1000 in 1972, after ten years of blending and perfecting by the house's perfumer Jean Kerleo. It was first offered as a true haute couture fragrance, made to order, and named for the thousand submissions rejected before the final one was chosen. A grand floral in the old manner, rich and formal. This is the tester edition: the same fragrance, shipped in a plain box rather than the retail packaging.
